It is considered confirmed that senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will contest Lok Sabha election from Amethi.
According to media reports, online nomination form has been purchased from Amethi in the name of Rahul Gandhi. Rahul to file nomination tomorrow i.e. Friday.
Sonia Gandhi's representative Kishori Lal Sharma, who reached Amethi on Thursday, said - only a member of the Gandhi family will contest the elections from here. Rahul Gandhi will file his nomination on the last day.
Let us tell you, the official list of Congress candidate from Amethi has not been revealed yet, hence the market of speculations is hot.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Amethi, Union Minister Smriti Irani has filed her nomination. The last date for nomination for Amethi-Rae Bareli seat is 3 pm on Friday.

While discussing with the media, Sonia Gandhi's representative Kishori Lal Sharma, who reached Amethi, said, “Only a member of the Gandhi family will contest elections from Amethi. All preparations are being made only for Rahul Gandhi, not for any other person. Party workers want only a member of the Gandhi family to contest elections from Amethi.”
