Rain Might Affect Today's T20 WC Final Between India Vs South Africa

The title match of T20 World Cup 2024 will be played between India and South Africa today. This match will be held at Kensington Oval ground in Barbados from 8 pm Indian time. During this, there will be a tough competition between the two teams. Both the teams have remained undefeated in this tournament so far. India has made it to the final by defeating England in the semi-finals while South Africa defeated Afghanistan.

If we look at the record of both the teams, India has faced South Africa six times in the T20 World Cup. Out of these, the Indian team has won four matches while South Africa has won two matches. At the same time, India has the upper hand over South Africa in T20 cricket as well. A total of 26 matches have been played between the two. Out of these, India has won 14 and Proteas has won 11 while one match was inconclusive. In such a situation, India is a strong contender for victory in the title match.

The second semi-final match played in Guyana was affected by rain. In such a situation, fans are worried about the India vs South Africa match. According to the weather report, there is a 78 percent chance of rain in Barbados on June 29. The match will start at 10:30 am local time (8 pm Indian time). There is a 50 percent chance of rain from 3 am to 10 am. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain with storm at 11 am. Even if this match starts, it is sure to stop due to heavy rain.

If the match to be played between India and South Africa on June 29 is affected due to rain, then the ICC has made arrangements for it. The board has kept a reserve day for the title match. In this situation, both the teams will be seen fighting the next day. However, if this match is not held even on the reserve day, then the winner will be chosen through a super over. At the same time, if the super over is also not held due to rain, then both the teams will be declared joint winners of the T20 World Cup 2024.

A fierce contest between bat and ball is witnessed on the Kensington Oval ground. On this ground, fast bowlers get a chance to swing the ball with bounce. At the same time, spinners trouble the batsmen a lot in the middle overs. The average score of the first innings on this pitch is 153 runs. A total of 32 T20 matches have been played on this ground.
