Ravichandran Ashwin Announced His Retirement From International Cricket

Veteran Indian cricket team spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has put an end to his illustrious career. Ashwin announced his retirement after the Brisbane Gabba Test match was drawn. After the match, Ashwin came to the press conference with captain Rohit Sharma and gave his last retirement speech.
During this, Ashwin also looked very emotional. Earlier, during the tea break, his video came on the live feed in which he became emotional while hugging Virat Kohli. From there it was guessed that Ashwin is going to retire from cricket.
Ashwin, who attended the press conference with Rohit Sharma, said in his last retirement speech, 'This is my last day in India and international cricket. There are many people whom I want to thank, who supported me in my journey. I also want to thank Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara, with whom I played cricket for Team India for a long time.'
He said, 'I will definitely miss Team India's dressing room and my teammates. I have many memories with my teammates, but I have decided today's day. The media personnel present here will also definitely miss me leaving international cricket, but I want that we continue to have a good relationship like before. Apart from this, Ashwin also thanked all the coaches of his career.'
He said, 'This is a very emotional moment for me. That is why I will not be able to answer any of your questions here right now. I also want to thank Australian cricket. They are a very wonderful team. I have always enjoyed playing against this team.'
Talking about Ashwin's career, he played 106 Tests, 116 ODIs and 65 T20 matches for Team India. Ashwin took 537 wickets in Test cricket. He is also the second highest wicket-taker in this format after Anil Kumble.
Apart from bowling, Ashwin has also scored 3503 runs in Tests with 6 centuries and 14 half-centuries. Talking about ODI cricket, Ashwin has taken 156 wickets for Team India in this format, while in T20 International, Ashwin has taken 72 wickets.
