Regional Unity Call: Hagrama & Pradyot Share Stage in BTC Campaign

Campaigning for the upcoming Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections gathered pace on September 16 as Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) chief Hagrama Mohilary and TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Manikya Deb Barma came together at a rally in 3 No. Srirampur Constituency.

The event was organised to boost support for BPF candidate Muklesur Rahman.

Addressing a large crowd, Mohilary highlighted his party’s record in office, pointing to peace initiatives, developmental works, and efforts to maintain stability in the Bodoland Territorial Region. He criticised the ruling coalition for failing to fulfil its promises and urged people to back the BPF for “inclusive growth” and protection of community rights.

Pradyot, who joined the rally as a star campaigner, emphasised stronger coordination among regional forces. He said that local parties must unite to safeguard indigenous identity and resist political dominance from outside forces.
