"Remel" Ghost Become Tension For IPL Final Match on Sunday

Chennai's Chepauk Stadium is all set to host the final of IPL 2024. The teams of Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad will put in all their effort to lift the trophy. But the weather in Chennai remains dishonest.

There has been heavy rain in Chennai the evening before the final. In such a situation, the threat of 'Remal' storm for the final is giving tension.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that a severe cyclonic storm may occur due to a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. The weather is likely to get worse.

The IMD further said that the severe cyclonic storm is expected to reach Bangladesh and West Bengal on May 26. However, there is no much danger in Chennai or other parts of Tamil Nadu at present.

According to Accuweather, the sky will be cloudy on Sunday. There is a 10 percent chance of rain. The 'Remal' storm cannot be taken lightly at all. There is no forecast of rain on Sunday, but there is a possibility of cloudy weather with humidity.

Meanwhile, a few hours before the final on Saturday, Kolkata Knight Riders' last practice session was interrupted. The KKR team had to practice in the evening. The team was warming up with football when it started raining.

Due to this the players had to return to the pavilion. During this, the ground staff quickly covered the fourth pitch to be used in the final.

If the final match is washed out due to rain, a reserve day has been kept, although there is no forecast of rain on Monday. But if the match is not played on the reserve day due to bad weather or rain, the final will be cancelled.

In such a case, Kolkata Knight Riders will be declared the champions because KKR finished on top of the points table with the highest number of points in the league stage.
