Road Blocked, 'Power Minister Resign' Slogan Rises For Power Restoration in Tripura

Tripura is suffering due to no power and public life become miserable due the power outage for Cyclone Remal.

Common people, political parties, even lawyers hits the street saying that power minister and his department is totally failure to control the situation. 

Opposition political parties already demanding resignation of  Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath. 

On Wednesday on behalf of Tripura Pradesh Congress  agitation protest has been staged on this issue.

A protest march also has been organized in the city Agartala. Speaking with the press leaders of the Congress said that "People of the state are very angry due to poor electricity services. But the power minister and his power department is completely indifferent to this matter."

Congress also said that  the state is in the dark in terms of electricity service. Every day in every area of ​​the state, people's life has become miserable due to power cut for hours. But the power minister and the power department is overlooking this matter".

On the other hand there is no electricity in the court premises for the last three days in Agartala. Even after complaining to the corporation office many times, the problem was not solved. 

At last the lawyers blocked the road. The traffic came to a standstill due to this blockade. 

The police and administration officials received information. Finally the blockade was lifted due to the intervention of Minister Ratan Lal Nath

A lawyer said that there is no electricity in the court premises for the last three days. Lawyers and common people are facing various problems due to lack of electricity. Drinking water problem has also arisen due to lack of electricity in the court. We complained to the corporation office many times but there was no solution. So they were forced to join the road blockade in front of the court from morning. 

Students and youths organization of CPIM, DYFI, TYF jointly stages agitation protest before the office of Tripura State Electricity Department demanding resignation of Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath. 

Speaking with the press the leaders of the organizations daid that " Not only the people of the village and rural areas, but the town areas and even so called Smart City Agartala also suffering from power outages. But neither Power Minister nor his department is sensitive to give relief the public. Public life become miserable due to  power outages. Performance of Power Minister and his Department is very poor. He should resign".

Information of agitation protest and road blocked coming from various places of the state like Bilonia, Sabroom, Khowai, Kamalpur, Udaipur etc Sub-divisions, demanding restoration of power service.
