Sachin Tendulkar Invites PM Modi to Son Arjun’s Wedding

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and formally invited him to the wedding of his son Arjun Tendulkar with Sania Chandhok. The former India captain shared the moment on social media platform X, calling it an honour to seek the Prime Minister’s blessings for the upcoming ceremony.
In his post, Sachin wrote that the family was grateful for the Prime Minister’s warm wishes for the young couple. Along with his family, Sachin also met President Droupadi Murmu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, extending wedding invitations to them as well.
Arjun Tendulkar and Sania Chandhok are set to tie the knot in Mumbai on March 5. The couple got engaged in August 2025. Sania is also a close friend of Arjun’s sister, Sara Tendulkar.

Who is Sania Chandhok?

Sania Chandhok comes from a prominent business family but has largely stayed away from the public spotlight. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, associated with the Graviss Group, a well-known name in India’s hospitality and food-and-beverage sector. The group is widely recognised for its luxury hospitality ventures and for owning the premium ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery.
Despite her family’s business stature, Sania has chosen to pursue an independent entrepreneurial path. In 2022, she co-founded Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP in Mumbai, where she serves as a partner and director. The boutique venture, launched with an initial investment of around ₹1 lakh, focuses on pet grooming, skincare, and wellness products, catering to the rapidly expanding urban pet-care market.

Arjun Tendulkar’s Cricketing Journey

Arjun Tendulkar, a left-arm pacer and all-rounder, will represent the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2026, having been traded from the Mumbai Indians ahead of the mini-auction. He has so far played five IPL matches, claiming three wickets and scoring 13 runs.
At the domestic level, Arjun currently plays for Goa, after making his senior debut for Mumbai in 2021. He has represented Mumbai across age-group levels and made his India Under-19 debut in 2018 against Sri Lanka. Notably, he scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut for Goa, underlining his all-round potential.
With the wedding drawing national attention, the union of a legendary cricketing family and a prominent business lineage has become one of the most talked-about social events of the year.
