Sindhu Won Second Consecutive Match In Badminton World Championship

Double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu of India has entered the Round of 16 of the BWF World Championship. She knocked out Malaysia's Letshana Karupthewan in straight games in the Round of 32 match of the women's singles on Wednesday.

Indian pairs found success in the mixed doubles and men's doubles events at the Adidas Arena in Paris. World number-9 India's men's doubles pair of Satwik and Chirag also entered the Round of 16.

At one point in the first game, the Malaysian player was leading 18-13. Sindhu made a comeback from here and won the first game 21-19. In the second game, Sindhu took the lead from the beginning. She was leading 11-6 till the half stage. Then she won the second game 21-15 and won the match.

They defeated Chinese Taipei's Kuang Heng and Yang Po Han in straight games and knocked them out. Both won the first game by a close margin of 22-20. Then they won the second game by 21-13 and entered the round of 16.
