TBSE 10, 12 Exams to Begin From Feb 25, 26

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) will constitute a committee to review and recommend an increase in remuneration for teachers engaged in evaluating board examination answer scripts, Board President Dr. Dhananjoy Gan Chowdhury announced on Monday.

 

Addressing reporters, Dr. Chowdhury stated that the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by TBSE will commence on February 25, while the Secondary Examination will begin on February 26.

He affirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the examinations.

According to the Board President, comprehensive administrative and security measures have already been put in place. Strict vigilance is being maintained in the storage and distribution of question papers to prevent any irregularities.

In a significant clarification, he informed that the Kokborak examination question paper will be set in Bengali. However, candidates will be allowed to write their answers in any script of their choice.

He also assured that answer scripts will be evaluated with due care and diligence.

On the issue of teachers’ remuneration for answer script evaluation, Dr. Chowdhury acknowledged that educators have long been demanding a revision of their payment structure.

To address the matter systematically, a committee will be formed to examine all relevant aspects and submit recommendations to the Board for further consideration.
