India has completely tightened its grip on Bangladesh till stumps on the second day of the first match of the series being held in Chennai.
India has a lead of 308 runs. Shubman Gill is unbeaten on 33 and Rishabh Pant on 12.
India has scored 81 runs at the loss of 3 wickets on the second day. India has lost the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli in the second innings.
Earlier, the Indian team, which came to play on the second day with a score of 339/6, could add only 37 runs to the first day's score and was all-out at 376 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja missed a century on the second day and was out at 86 runs. Ashwin returned to the pavilion after scoring 113 runs. However, both of them had done their job before getting out.
After this, the Indian bowlers performed brilliantly and bundled out the Bangladesh team for just 149 runs. The Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly.
Jasprit Bumrah was successful in taking 4 wickets. Apart from this, Jadeja, Akashdeep and Siraj were successful in taking 2-2 wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan (32) scored the highest run for Bangladesh. A total of 17 wickets fell on the second day.
