Test Series: Bangladesh Team Arrived In India

Buoyed by their 2-0 Test series win in Pakistan, a confident Bangladesh team arrived in India on Sunday for two Tests and three T20Is with skipper Nazmul Hasan Shanto expecting a good show from the side in the coming week.

The Bangladesh team arrived in Chennai on Sunday afternoon for the opening Test starting September 19."It will definitely be a very challenging series for us," Shanto told reporters at the airport before boarding a flight from Dhaka to Chennai.

He said, 'After a good series against Pakistan, the confidence of the team and the people of the country has definitely increased. Every series is an opportunity. We will play to win both the matches.' India is at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) table but the Bangladesh captain believes that the performance of the match does not depend on the ranking and it will all depend on how his team performs during those five days.

Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto said that although his team is below in the rankings, he is ready to give a tough fight to Team India. Shanto said, 'Their team is far ahead of us in the rankings, but we have performed well recently. Our series has been good. Our goal will be to play well for five days.'

Let us tell you that the Bangladesh team recently defeated the host team in the two Test match series on its tour to Pakistan. In such a situation, the morale of the Bangladesh players is high. However, it is not easy for any opposing team to compete in Test cricket on Indian soil.

After a long time, the Indian cricket team is going to play Test cricket. Team India has started its practice in Chennai under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma and coach Gautam Gambhir. All the players are looking full of enthusiasm. The Indian team had earlier played its last Test match against England. However, the way Team India is preparing, nothing is going to be easy for Bangladesh.
