The central government has withdrawn the broadcasting draft bill.

Digital news publishers and individual content creators were very angry about this bill. 

According to sources in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, after making improvements in this bill, it will be presented again.

In November last year, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry prepared a draft of this bill. 

It was put up for public so that objections and suggestions could be taken on it. 

The second draft of the bill came in July. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also presented it in the monsoon session, but there was a lot of resentment in the media about its provisions.
