Time of Asia Cup Matches Changed Due To Heat. To Start At 8 PM Instead Of 7:30 PM

The beginning time of the matches of Cricket Asia Cup 2025 has been changed. According to Indian time, the matches of this season will now start at 8 pm instead of 7.30 pm.

This decision has been taken in view of the very hot conditions in UAE. The Asia Cup will start in UAE from 9 September. The final match of this tournament will be played on 28 September. This time the tournament will be played in T20 format. India has got the hosting of Asia Cup 2025, but due to bad relations between India and Pakistan, it will be played at a neutral venue.

Broadcasters have approved the timing of the tournament in September when it will be played in the UAE. At that time, the temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius during the day and remain so till late evening. To avoid playing in such extreme heat, cricket boards had requested to extend the timing of the matches a little. This request was made to the broadcasters and they approved the changes.

India's first match is against UAE India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE have been placed in the same group. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are in Group B. All the teams in the group will play 1-1 match against each other. India will face UAE on 10 September, Pakistan on 14 and Oman on 19.

If India and Pakistan make it to the Super-4 stage, then both the teams will once again face each other on September 21. The final of the tournament will be played on September 28. If India and Pakistan top the Super-4 stage, then there can be a third match between the two in the tournament.

India has won the Asia Cup 8 times . The Asia Cup was started in 1984. This tournament has been played 16 times so far. India has won it the most i.e. 8 times. Sri Lanka has won this tournament 6 times and Pakistan 2 times.
