Tripura Cabinet Decids To Recruit 226 General Duty Medical Officers

Tripura cabinet has decided to recruit 226 General Duty Medical Officers. Informing this decision Minister Sushanta Chowdhury also said that:

The Cabinet meeting was held on June 13 and 15. It was decided in the meeting that since the State Government is giving great importance to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, there is a need for infrastructural development. The government is serious enough to develop this infrastructure. As a part of this, the state has decided to appoint 226 General Duty Medical Officers in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Educational qualification will be MBBS degree. This recruitment process will be done through TPSC.

Another important decision was taken in the meeting of the Ministerial Council. The decision is that 16 vacant posts of Medical Officer Super Specialist and 172 vacant posts of Specialist Medical Officer will be appointed. PRTC has been made mandatory for this. Besides, Bengali and Kokborok language should be known. 

49 sub-officers will be appointed in the fire department. It will also be recruited through TPSC.

 Besides, six sub-inspectors will be appointed in the department of food, public procurement and consumer interest. 

MBB airport will get immigration and another important decision has been taken by the state government in the cabinet meeting to start flight service between Agartala – Dhaka and Chittagong. Tripura government urged central government  to speed up the launch of the service. The central government has informed that there is not enough CISF to start the service. So the state government has decided to grant MBB airport immigration to 67 retired police officers. These 67 retired police officers will be accompanied by more serving police officers. A total of 85 police officers will be deployed at MBB Airport, Nishchintpur Railway Station and Sabroom ICP Checkpost. The state government is of the opinion that they will perform their duties very efficiently. Because they are all experienced. So they are given responsibility in such important places.
