Tripura Celebrates 78th Independence Day

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated in Tripura witj full dignity along with the entire country on Thursday.

On this day, the main event was officially organized at  Assam Rifles Maidan Agartala.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha formally hoisted the national flag there.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha handed over medals and certificates to the police personnel for their outstanding contribution. 

On this day, the Chief Minister said that the present state government is working with firm determination keeping the thoughts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in front of the overall development trend.

He added that the present government is working on new plans to build a prosperous Tripura by ensuring progress in public welfare, education, health, women empowerment, agriculture, industry, infrastructure and other areas.

He also said that government is determined to increase the 15 % GDP of the state by 2047
