Tripura CM Holds Precautionary Meeting Centering Upcoming Rathyatra

The Tripura state administration is taking utmost precautions to avoid any untoward incident during Rath Yatra and Ultorath Yatra to be held on July 7 and 15.

For this purpose, the Chief Minister Dr. Dr. Manik Saha and Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan held important meeting with all the Distric Magistrates through video conference . 

The Chief Minister has called upon the administration as well as all the entrepreneurs and the public to complete the Rath Yatra festival in an orderly manner. 

He said that all possible measures should be taken to avoid any untoward incident. The chief minister stressed on the organizers of the Rath Yatra to follow all the government guidelines regarding the height of the top of the Rath and the making of the Rath. 

He said that the guidelines given for the route of the chariot should be strictly followed. Government should keep all arrangements including ambulance, paramedics, volunteers, fire fighters. It is necessary to maintain regular coordination with the power department as per the movement of the chariot. 

"The organizers of the Rath Yatra should start the Rath Yatra at the scheduled time of the day and ensure that it reaches the destination before evening" he said. 

The water level of the rivers in Kailashahar is rising, so the Chief Minister advised to keep an eye on that while starting the Rath Yatra. He asked everyone to take responsible role to make this festival an overall success.

Notable that during the Ulto Rath Yatra 10 people died due to electrocution in Kumarghat under North Tripura Distric last year.
