As soon as this news appeared on social media, the administration immediately swung into action and recovered the girl and handed her over to her mother.

The Chief Minister said reporters on Monday, 'Incidents of child sale were common during the previous government. Now suddenly this incident happened in a district where the government gives 10 percent extra money of the development outlay for welfare work. Such an incident should not have happened. The administration recovered the newborn and handed it over to its mother. Apart from this, financial assistance was also given to the family.'

Saha said the present government is sensitive towards people and sought a detailed report on the incident from the chief secretary.

Saha alleged that the opposition wants to make it an issue, but they will not succeed in it as the government is working for the people.
