Tripura: Contraband Drug Worth Rs Crore Recovered From Woman

Contraband drug Yaba tablets worth crore has been recovered from an woman by the North Tripura District Police. 

The arrested woman identified as  Jahanara Begum a resident of Boxanagar under Sonamura Sub-division.

The trend of drug paddling in Tripura  by passenger trains is increasing day by day. 

Acting on a tip-off, the police recovered this large quantity of Yaba tablets from the woman by searching the Silchar-Agartala bound train. 

District Superintendent of Police of North Tripura district Bhanupada Chakraborty said that twenty thousand Yaba tablets has been recovered from the woman.

Dharmanagar police station, GRPF and RPF were involved in this operation
