Tripura Likely To Get International Cricket Stadium By Feb 2025

Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) is working on construction of a new stadium in the state. The stadium is likely to be fully ready by February 2025.

Also, in 2025 this stadium may host IPL matches as well as few ODI matches of the Indian team. 

The stadium is being prepared by the joint efforts of Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) and Tripura Cricket Association. 

The total construction cost of the stadium is Rs 200 crore and the stadium can hold a total of 25 thousand spectators.

Tripura Cricket Association Secretary Subrata Dey gave more information about stadium construction in Tripura state. 

He said the media, 'Our aim is to complete the international cricket stadium project as soon as possible. As per the revised timeline of mid-January or February 2025, we will prepare the stadium to host high-profile cricket matches. A roadmap has already been adopted for the project and the agencies and designers involved in the project have also been instructed to expedite the work.'

Dey also said, 'The stadium project started in 2017. The project was to be completed in 22 months. But the work has been delayed due to the slowness of the agencies working here. But now we have decided to review the work every week to speed up the construction of the stadium.'
