Tripura: Power Minister Ratan Nath Briefs About Post Cyclone Situation

Power Minister of Tripura Ratan Lal Nath held a press conference at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday and briefed about the present condition of electricity service, after cyclone Remal.

"Due to cyclone Remal electricity services in the state has been disrupted. As a result of the cyclone, 686 poles are broken, 234 km of power lines are torn. Also, 82 transformers have damaged" he said.

"But power workers have been working under wartime conditions since Monday night to keep the power service normal" he said.

On this day, he said, efforts are being made to provide 80 percent electricity service by Tuesday. 

"On the basis of people's complaints, the electricity department has come to know where the electricity has been disconnected in the state" Nath said.

On this day, he said, despite the heavy rains, the engineers and workers of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited have been working on repairing the line. 

He congratulated and congratulated the employees of the Corporation who are working tirelessly to deliver electricity services to the people of the state.
