Two Special Passenger Trains to Run For 8 Days in Tripura: NF Railway

Two more trains will run within the state on the occasion of the traditional Kharchi fair. These local level trains will run for the next eight days from todat ie July 14 to July 21. 

These trains will run between Agartala-Dharmanagar-Agartala and Agartala-Sabroom-Agartala. 

This news has been informed in a notification issued by the North East Frontier Railway. The notification issued by Frontier Railway, however, did not mention Kharchi Puja and fairs or festivals. It is said that this initiative has been taken aims to reduce the additional passenger pressure.

It is known that the state government has demanded additional passenger trains on the occasion of Kharchi Puja and fair to the Railway Minister of the country Ashwini Vaishnaw and the NF Railway. 

Many people gather on the occasion of this traditional festival and fair of the state. People from all over the state and outside the state flocked to the fair and festival grounds in Khayerpur i.e. Old Agartala.

A total of two pairs of special passengers trains to run for eight days. In this regard, the notification issued by NF Railway said that they will run from July 14 to July 21 as per the  schedule. 

According to the schedule Agartala-Dharmannagar special passenger train number 05665 will depart from Agartala station at 5 AM. The train will reach Dharmanagar at 8.50 am. On the return journey, special passenger train number 05666 will depart from Dharmanagar station to Agartala at 10.30 am. It will reach Agartala at 2.5 pm.

On the other hand, the Agartala-Sabroom special passenger train number 05667 will start at 2.30 pm. The train will depart from Agartala station and reach Sabroom at 4.50 pm. On the return journey, special passenger train number 05668 will depart from Sabroorm station for Agartala at 5.20 pm and will arrive at 7.45 pm. 

The said two pairs of special passenger trains will stop at all number of stations in both directions
