Youth Congress, NSUI Gharaoed Tripura CM's Residence Protesting School Merger

Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress and student wing of Congress, NSUI gharaoed the residence of Chief Minister who is also the Education Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha  protesting against the decision to close schools in various parts of the state. 

However the police  arrested them, dragged them into a police van and brought them to the AD Nagar police line. 

On this day, Tripura State Youth Congress President Neelkamal Saha said that as a result of the state government's anti-education policy, it has been decided to close schools in various parts of the state. 

"It is pushing the life of the students of the state towards darkness. Protesting against this, the Chief Minister's house was Gharaoed" he said.

A police official said around 60 protesters has been arrested and taken to the AD Nagar police line. 

Notable that due to the lack of of adequate teachers-students ratio government is merging the schools statewide
